Today, Kwara State witnessed a vibrant celebration as members of Go-Ye Ministry Amilegbe joined fellow Christians across the state to mark Palm Sunday. Under the auspices of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kwara State chapter as believers from various churches came together in a mass rally through the streets of Ilorin, the state capital.
Senior Pastor of Go Ye Ministry Amilegbe, Ilorin, Rev. Joel Owoseni Olaniyan highlighted the significance of Palm Sunday, commemorating Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem as depicted in the Bible to mark this day which is the beginning of Holy Week, leading up to Easter Sunday.
Rev. Joel Owoseeni Olaniyan , who is also a popular preacher on a radio program titled ISOJI ORI AFEFE (REVIVAL LIVE) on SOBI FM 101.9 Ilorin, in his address emphasized the importance of unity among Christians, irrespective of denominational differences, urging all to emulate the spirit of oneness demonstrated during the Palm Sunday celebration.
The clergyman underscored the need for peace and harmony, echoing the teachings of Jesus Christ which is the building block for any nation.
Rev. Olaniyan also extended prayers for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, for wisdom and understanding to lead the state to greater heights.
Looking ahead, he announced upcoming Easter celebrations at Go Ye Ministry Amilegbe, Ilorin, promising more colorful events for the Christian community.
