Sunshine Stars Of Akure Loses Assistant Kit Manager

Sunshine Stars of Akure has announced the death of their assistant kit manager Taiwo Dosunmu.

This was contained in a statement released by the media officer of the club Michael Akintunde on Saturday.

Taiwo Dosunmu died in line of duty from the bullets of armed bandits along Benin-Ore expressway on Thursday December 7, 2023.

He died at the intensive care unit of University of Benin Teaching hospital on Friday, Dec 22, 2023 after series of surgery by consultants at the facility.

The club described Dosunmu as a very hardworking individual who took his job with all sense of seriousness.

“Taiwo Dosunmu was a very hardworking individual who took his job with all sense of seriousness” the statement said.

According to the club, said his selflessness at the moment of the attack saved the lives of players and other members of Sunshine Stars management.

Sunshine Stars however thanked the government of Ondo and Edo State as well as the entire football fan in Nigeria and many others for the supports rendered during the spell of the unfortunate incident.

The club noted that burial arrangement of the departed will be communicated as allowed by the family.
