Super Eagles: Lesotho Coach Outclassed Paseiro By Long Stretch – FIFA Graded Coach “Pascal Atuma”

FIFA licensed coach and seasoned movie director, Pascal Atuma, has come down hard on Portuguese Nigerian senior national team coach, Jose Paseiro, stating that Coach Leslie Notse, the Crocodiles of Lesotho coach is far better tactician going by outcome of Thursday match between his team and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Both teams had their first match in the group decider for a World Cup ticket.

Atuma, miffed while granting interview to newsmmen in Uyo after the Super Eagles forced a less fancied visiting Lesotho team to one all draw, said Paseiro clearly made a wrong choice in player selection.

“I doubt if the coach understands Nigerian players,” said Atuma.

The coach started with wrong set of players who have no business in the national team, he added.

Pascal Atuma spoke to journalists on Friday while reacting to Nigeria vs Lesthoto FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying game which ended in a shocking 1-1 draw.

The award winning movie director and FIFA agent who heaped praises on Lesotho for their technical and tactical prowess against Nigeria, noting that only the right selection against Zimbabwe on Sunday will guarantee maximum points for the eagles.

“Nigeria need to go out there in Kigali to win against Zimbabwe, we have the boys, whoever has the number of coach should call him to make a right selection and we shouldn’t be playing defensive game, we have the boys”

He challenged the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF to stop hiring average coaches for the national teams.

“We are only shooting ourselves in the foot with all these half baked coaches in the name of foreign tacticians.

According to Atuma, NFF doesn’t really need to pay the coaches.

“I and other fans of Nigeria can start donation through ‘go fund me’ to hire quality class A coach like they do in France, Brazil and Italy.

” Hiring an average coach for Nigeria is a Colonia degradation, he concluded.He also commended the Akwa Ibom state government for investing in sports facilities and good structures through Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, urging federal government to emulate the initiative and do the same in the Nollywood industry.
