Lawmaker representing Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Yinka Aluko PhD berate how the fast rising sports “Teqball” has not received the attention it deserves from the government and other stakeholders.
The Kwara Lawmaker who was acknowledge as a guest at the Teqball World Championship Qualifiers held in the Indoor Sports Hall of Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja made this known on his Instagram page.
Hon. Aluko said, it was unexpectedly crossed his paths with the competition where he was promptly identified by team Kwara at the event.
He noted that, he was thrilled to discover that not only the Kwara State team are partaking in the competitions but elated they are currently the best team in Africa.
Hon. Aluko further noted that, world of sports and games holds a special place in his legislative agenda due to its profound impact on our society, fostering unity and harmony among people of different social classes.
The Kwara Lawmaker affirmed that, witnessing the youthful existence of both males and females filled him with great joy, adding that remarkable performance and discipline displayed by the team Kwara left a lasting impression on him.
Hon. Yinka Aluko however pledged to incorporate the sport into his legislative agenda and also planning to visit the athletes at their training ground when he returns to ilorin.
