The 2023 Presidential Candidate of People’s Democratic Party PDP candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said, losing a battle is less important than Losing the war, that he’s heading to supreme court to challenge the outcome of the Tribunal rulling in favour of APC and it Presidential candidate, president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The former vice-president made this known in a press conference yesterday that the PEPT verdict does not only fall far short of his expectations but also Jettison the confidence in our judiciary process in Nigeria.
He noted, that the last presidential election in our country and the way it was managed by the electoral commission leaves behind unenviable precedent which the court failed to address.
The presidential candidate stressed, that our gains in ensuring transparent elections through the deployment of sophisticated technology was heavily compromised by the way the presidential election was managed by INEC.
He further stated that, PEPT had failed to restore confidence in our dreams of free and fair elections with devoid of human manipulations.
Atiku said, that his ultimate goal is in pursuit to ensure that democracy is strengthen through the principles and process of fair hearing.
The 2023 PDP flag bearer however said, that the disappointment in tribunal verdict does not only consolidate his confidence in court process but also activate his constitutional right to challenge the outcome of the PEPT at the the higher court.
